Wanted Convicted Felon, Considered Armed and Dangerous, Safely Arrested 

The United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, in coordination with the U.S. Border Patrol and with the assistance of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office, located and safely arrested Frederic Hamberg late last night.    

On March 20, 2025, at approximately 11:55 pm, United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force members located 34-year-old Fredric G. Hamberg in the 7900 block of N. Division and safely took him into custody.   

Hamberg, a convicted felon, considered armed and dangerous, is charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree following a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes investigation into a drive-by shooting incident that occurred in the 14700 block of N. Newport Highway in January 2025.  During this incident, Hamberg is accused of firing a handgun several times into his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle, occupied by two adults.  Thankfully, no one was injured.

Hamberg is also wanted for Assault 2nd Degree, Strangulation or Suffocation (DV).     

Hamberg was booked into the Spokane County Jail with a bond currently set at $150,000.
