Female Suspect Stabs Male Victim After DV Argument Escalates

Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a reported stabbing at a residence on N. Vercler Lane in Spokane Valley.  The adult male victim, who sustained wounds to his chest and arm, was transported to the hospital.  The adult female suspect was booked into jail for felony assault (DV).

On February 2, 2025, just before 1:35 pm, Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a reported stabbing at a group home located in the 4700 block of N. Vercler Lane.  The caller stated his wife stabbed him.

Arriving Deputies provided medical aid to the male victim and detained the suspect, identified as 50-year-old Aziza R. Kabamba.

Spokane Valley Firefighters took over the victim’s medical treatment, and he was transported to the hospital for what appeared to be stab wounds to his chest and arm.  Fortunately, after additional treatment and evaluation at the hospital, it was determined the victim’s wounds were not life-threatening.

No one else at the home was injured.

Deputies learned this incident began as a domestic violence (DV) argument that escalated when Kabamba armed herself with a knife and stabbed the victim.  Through the investigation, Deputies developed probable cause to charge Kabamba with Assault 1st Degree (DV), and she was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail.
