Burglary Suspects Located and Arrested with Minutes
Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported commercial burglary observed on the store security video. The business was checked, but the suspects fled before the deputies arrived. With a description provided due to the security video, Deputies began searching the area for the suspects, locating them a couple of blocks away. Both suspects were booked into the Spokane County Jail for Burglary and Theft charges.
On December 22, 2024, at approximately 7:40 am, Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at a business in the 300 block of W. Francis Avenue. A store employee reported seeing an unknown male on video inside the closed business.
Deputies arrived at the location, and with the assistance of a Spokane Police Officer, they searched the business but did not locate anyone inside.
Deputies contacted employees and obtained a description of two suspects. Suspect 1 was described as wearing a black coat, a yellow hoodie underneath, blue jeans, and a backpack. Suspect 2 was described as wearing a black coat, brown pants, and a black mask.
Deputies began searching the area, and at approximately 8:00 am., they located one suspect near N. Normandie Street and W. Houston Avenue. Moments later, the second suspect was observed in an alley to the east. Both suspects were detained as the investigation continued.
The Deputies identified the suspects as 29-year-old Jesse T. Dye and 45-year-old Ryan T. Honeycutt and, through the investigation, developed probable cause to charge them with Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft 3rd Degree.
Dye and Honeycutt were transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail on these charges.
