Single-Vehicle Fatal Crash in Deer Park
Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one-vehicle serious injury crash in a parking lot near S. Main Street and E. I Street in Deer Park. The adult male driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
On April 4, 2025, at approximately 5:20 am, Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies and Spokane County Fire District 4 Firefighters responded to a reported single-vehicle collision involving a large sign in the 800 block of S. Main Street.
SCFD 4 Firefighters had to extricate the adult male driver (40) and sole occupant of the Ford Explorer. The driver was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Traffic Unit Investigators responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.
Initial information indicates the Ford Explorer was traveling through the parking lot at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the large, fixed sign.
Speed, failure to wear a seatbelt, and impairment are believed to be factors in this deadly crash.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the decedent’s name along with his cause and manner of death at a later time, when appropriate.
