Armed, Possibly Suicidal Male Barricaded in Medical Lake Home

Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, SWAT Team members, Crisis Negotiators, and additional assets are at a residence in the 1000 block of N. Olson Hill Court I Medical Lake for a reported armed and possibly suicidal male.

On August 11, 2024, at approximately 6:30 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of an adult male in the residence who was armed and possibly suicidal.

Deputies arrived at the home and reported the male was inside alone and believed to have fired several shots.  

The Swat Team, Crisis Negotiators, and other assisting units were called to the scene, and a perimeter was established.   For the safety of neighbors living in the immediate area, they were asked to shelter in place or safely evacuated.    

SWAT Team members and Crisis Negotiators continue to focus on trying to end this dangerous and volatile situation peacefully.
